JACK
BREED: Chihuahua
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 2 years old
SIZE: 9 lbs
HISTORY: Jack was brought to a Los Angeles shelter as a stray where he waited for quite a while to find his forever home. The clock was ticking and soon Jack's status became "Super Urgent". Though Jack did not know what that meant...he knew that it did not sound good! Jack charmed his way into his rescuer's heart and now this dashing, sparky fellow will be allowed to live life to the fullest, and bring joy and laughter to his new family.
TEMPERAMENT: Jack is full of fun and adventure. He loves to explore but is very attentive and tuned into his people. He can be fully engaged in an activity and then he will spy you and come running and leap onto your lap. He is a comedian and will make laugh with his antics and jovial nature.
LAMBCHOP
BREED: Spaniel / Poodle mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 2 years old
SIZE: 16 lbs
HISTORY: Lambchop, named for his soft wooly coat, has not had an easy time in life. When he came to the LA shelter he was covered in oil. Apparently hiding under cars helped him feel safe while living alone and scared on the streets. This unique boy was frighted in the shelter. It was a loud and overwhelming place. Because it was a high kill shelter Lambchop had every right to worry because he had been there too long and his time was up. A loving and patient rescuer saw Lambchop's greatness and was in awe of his resilience and began to show him how good it felt to be loved. In turn, Lambchop began offering one paw... and then another paw... and then in his own special endearing way, he began asking to be picked up and snuggled. Slowly his confidence began to emerge!
TEMPERAMENT: Lambchop is sensitive and responds gratefully when someone cares about him. He can be timid but in time this trust will grow. The look in his eyes says it all: " I have seen a lot of trouble in this world...but I also have seen a glimpse of love. I am waiting for my turn at love."
CORKY
BREED: Chihuahua / Min Pin mix

HISTORY: Found on the streets of Los Angeles and taken to overcrowded high kill shelter.
TEMPERAMENT: Incredibly sweet, very affectionate, loving. Enjoys the company of people and other dogs.
HARRY
BREED: Shepherd / Husky mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 4 weeks old

HISTORY: Born to a very pregnant starving homeless mother found in a dumpster on Reservation near Calgary.
TEMPERAMENT: Sweet little puppy.
SCOOBY
BREED: Chihuahua X
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 5 years old (please bear in mind that Chihuahuas can live up to 17 years old)
SIZE: 11 lbs
HISTORY: Scooby was found roaming the streets of Tijuana, Mexico, homeless, scared, starving, lonely, and a painful infection in his mouth due to eating only rotten food.
TEMPERAMENT: Scooby is such a sweet angel! He is obedient, super loving to everybody, well housebroken, loves other dogs and cats. Great with children. Whoever adopts this little guy will bring lots of happiness and love home! It is very easy to fall in love with him. It will only take a few minutes and he will steal your heart! He just had a full dental so his teeth are white and clean with a fresh breath.
ITACHI
BREED: German Shepherd / Wolf mix (small percentage wolf)
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 1 year old
SIZE: Medium / Large
HISTORY: Original owner moved to a city where wolfdog ownership is prohibited.
TEMPERAMENT: Itachi is neutered, housetrained, crate trained and behaves very well inside. He is good with children, cats and other dogs. He would be a good wolfdog for first time wolfdog owners, as he is very loving and well behaved. He will require adequate containment and would benefit from living in a home with another dog.
TITO
BREED: Spaniel mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 1 year old

HISTORY: Pulled from high kill shelter in California.
TEMPERAMENT: Very sweet, shy, devoted, playful. Gets along well with other dogs and kids.
DUSTIN
BREED: Chihuahua

APPROX AGE: 2 years old
SIZE: 10 lbs
HISTORY: Found roaming the streets of Tijuna, had not eaten in weeks, hungry, cold and scared.
TEMPERAMENT: This little guy has a great temperament, he wants to be everybody's friend. He is a great playmate! Very loving. Luckily he was rescued before the infamous Mexican round-up, where they throw the dogs in a truck and take to the Pound to electrocute. The rescued dogs and rescuers in Mexico need as much help as possible.
MOLLY 2
BREED: Husky mix

APPROX AGE: 2 years old

HISTORY: Found in a dumpster, very pregnant, foraging for food. She was shy, but happy to get out of the Reservation where there is no food and nowhere to have puppies, except, frozen barren landscape. Her puppies are now past the nursing point and Molly is ready to have a home with security and a life with enjoyment, rather than roaming and lonely. She was very lonely when found, you could see it in her eyes, not to mention, Hungry!
TEMPERAMENT: Very affectionate. Wants nothing more than to go on a hike for the first time in her life.
ROSCOE
BREED: Australian Shepherd / Healer
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 2 years old
SIZE: 50 lbs
HISTORY: Roscoe was trained with harsh methods then left at a shelter that was going to euthanize him. A volunteer who loved him didn't want to see him put down so asked r-mar for help.
TEMPERAMENT: Rosco would be a great outdoor companion for someone that likes to ski-tour, cross country ski, hike, or works with other animals and horses. He loves the snow and can handle the cold better than most. He loves playing with other dogs and also being inside and runs to his indoor crate to curl up. He would also make an excellent ranch-hand dog.
MARTY
BREED: Black Lab mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 3 1/2 years old

HISTORY: Marty has been passed around from owner to owner many times over the short time of his life. Scheduled for euthanasia at a shelter far up north, a volunteer pulled him 30 minutes from euthanasion on his way to be put down.
TEMPERAMENT: Gets along great with everyone. He is easy-going and affectionate with a mild tempermant. He is crate-trained and loves to hang out with you. Since he is a Lab, he needs good exercise to run. He also makes a great snuggler.
FRANCO
BREED: Chihuahua

HISTORY: Franco was found roaming the streets of Ensenada, scared and starving.
TEMPERAMENT: Franco is a very loving little guy, obedient and playful!
TYLER
BREED: Beagle mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 1 years old
SIZE: 20 lbs
HISTORY: Tyler was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia USA and we are so glad to have met this sweet boy.
TEMPERAMENT: Tyler is such a sweetheart, loves toys, walks and cuddles! He is great with other dogs and kids.
PETULIA
BREED: Chihuahua
GENDER: Female
APPROX AGE: 6 months old
SIZE: 5 lbs
HISTORY: Petulia was rescued from the Mexican pound in Tijuana. She is very small and was very scared sitting in a run with many dogs of all sizes, all awaiting death. They are not fed while waiting to die. Petulia is underweight, but she has a great appetite and is fattening up fast!
TEMPERAMENT: Petulia is super affectionate, loves everybody! She is high energy and loves to play with other dogs.
BRUIN
BREED: Greyhound / Labrador mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX AGE: 1 year old
SIZE: 60 lbs
HISTORY: Found as a stray and brought to a shelter. After no one claimed him, his time was up. Due to no spay and neuter laws, there is not enough room in animal shelters, and dogs are regularly euthanized. Scheduled for euthanasia, the person who found Bruin as a stray could not bear it, so bought Bruin his freedom. He is now available for adoption and hoping to get a home where he can stretch his long legs on hikes and trips to the dog park.
TEMPERAMENT: Bruin has the sweetest heart. He tries to hold your hand with his mouth, very lovingly, to tell you he would like your friendship. He is easy going, great with all dogs and cats, and his favorite activity is chasing or jumping for a ball and bringing it back to you. He is a VERY handome boy!
