BREED: Lab mix
GENDER: Female
AGE: 10 months old
SIZE/WEIGHT: Medium, slight build, petite. She is only about 28 lbs. Smaller than she looks.
HISTORY: Found homeless and starving by EMT’s on First Nations after being mauled by other starving dogs
TEMPERAMENT: Outgoing, bold, fearless, spontaneous, determined.
PERSONALITY: Playful, goofy, lots of energy. For a small dog, she has quite a bit of power and can jump. She can jump fences, so no short fences!
BEST MATCH: An adopter with another young very playful dog, she needs one to playful with many times a day. Owner with an outgoing lifestyle. She is great around children, however, they need to be old enough and understand and want to help train, discipline, and teach Bailey rules, boundaries and manners. Bailey needs it otherwise, she is a bit of a nut case with too much energy and not knowing where to put it. No couch potatoes! Trips to dog parks necessary daily if possible. Good hiking, jogging buddy. Not for first time dog owner. Needs experienced dog owner who is firm and fair leadership. Needs an adopter to teach good basic training with reward based training methods. She’d love it! She’s smart, and need to look to adopter as the leader. Not recommend with small dogs or cats, she can see them as prey. An adopter interested in agility would be really great for this dog. Bailey can scale fences, so only tall fences would work for this gal.
FAVORITE THINGS: Playing with other dogs. Running. Did we mention how much she likes to run and jump.
