HOW IS DOG WITH CATS, KIDS, OTHER ANIMALS: Cats, chases but doesn’t seem to cause harm (but would not leave cats outside unattended). Kids, fine when bonded but not recommended unsupervised. Plays well with other dogs.
PETS NEEDS/BEHAVIOURAL INFO: Very excitable, nips when excited. Needs to be redirected and best if had a job! Best not to go into public. Requires strong owner and experienced adopter. Not a good candidate for unleash walking. Good so far off leash. Plays well with other dogs and comes when called.
BEST MATCH: Acreage would be best but also a good sized fenced yard. Requires supervision when visitors come over. Unless, they have a ball! Tell them to throw if for Charlie, he’ll then love them! Charlie is a natural working dog if someone looking for a heeler on a ranch as long as also a pet. An adopter with another playful dog. He LOVES playing!
FAVORITE THINGS: Playing fetch hands down! Squeeky toys and balls, people giving him attention (training is the best way for that) and playing and rough housing with other playful dogs his size or larger.
