Andy On My Mind

Hi Rory and team, I would first like to start out by expressing how much I admire all of you and the hard work you put into enriching the lives of so many animals.

I am interested in adopting a dog through your organization, but I want to fill you in on my situation and see if you think it would be a good fit. I am 20 years old, live in Vancouver, BC and I currently work for a dog walking company. I had looked online at dogs at several shelters, but when I got to your website something unexpected happened - I fell in love with a little chihuahua named Andy. I wasn't looking for a dog for myself at all, but since I saw his picture and read about him I can't get him out of my head!

I feel that I would be a good candidate to adopt because not only do I currently work in the industry, but I have experience with adoption. Basically every part of my life is dog friendly and I would like a little companion I can bring along.

Game Designer Offers Help

Dear Rory O'Neill, I was visiting you site to see if there was an application form for Volunteering and I thought I'd fire you off an e-mail asking if you need help with anything I can do. I live in North Vancouver BC, and truth be told I have always had a love for all animals big and small and once I was able to support being able to get a cat, I got my first cat, Butters.

Now I have two cats and our neighbors little kitten I go and pick up each day so she can play with my boys. I have been wanting to adopt a dog and would like to offer my services in helping dogs find a forever home. I am a game designer so if any graphic material is needed I can offer my services.

I am also a very active person & I would love to help walk or care for dogs. I have no experience with them but I am a fast learner. Hope to hear from you soon. I am so thankful for having places like 'Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue' who help so many in need.

Tito Is Just The Beginning

Hello, I am very interested in adopting from you. We have a female black lab Lily and a Chihuahua cross, Tito, who was one of the California dogs brought to Edmonton by the Edmonton Humane Society. He has been in our home for almost two years now and I love him to pieces.

I have a passion for animals, all shapes and sizes. Tito was very fearful at first, and has since come a long way. I would like to do the same and help another little guy! I also want to say that I appreciate everything you do for the dogs in Mexico and the US. Please keep bringing them to Canada where they can find good, loving homes.

Hi Rory, my name is Tonya and I am a wife and mother of four beautiful children. We are a family filled with love and would be honored to give one of your puppies a new home and new beginning.

Let me start by saying how honorable it is that you are rescuing all these animals that have been left to survive on their own or in a bad situation. You are an angel and I am so glad to hear that you have put together this animal rescue program. I read all the info on your website and have to say I'm so impressed with it all and the fact you are also a trainer is a big help in deciding on a new member for our family.

I was looking at some of the puppies you have for adoption in the Vancouver area and was very excited to see all the cute chihuahuas. The one I am most interested in is named Shasta. I live in the Port Coquitlam area and think she would love it here.

A Male Friend For A Chihuahua

Hi Rory, I am in shock right now. I just had a look through all the photos on the website and I cannot stop crying. What a sad place our world is to leave such beautiful animals behind, in such a horrible state, in pain and unloved. It's just not fair. I wish I could take them all. I am so thankful that there are people like you that have the courage and strength to do what you do, because I would not be able to do it, as much as I would love to. I wouldn't be able to see past my tears. You are making a huge difference in the world and to these dogs.

I am just wondering if Connor is still up for adoption? I currently have a 5 year old female Chihuahua and I was looking to potentially get another one so she can have a friend. I do believe I would like to meet the little man. I am NW Calgary and would be able to come meet him this weekend.

Anyway Rory, please let me know what the next step is and we will go from there.

Help From Meximutt

Hello Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue! I just checked out your website and was blown away by the great work you do for so many different types of animals in so many places around the world! I am with Meximutt in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Money is the biggest road block to helping more dogs! We try to find people flying back to Canada who is willing to take a dog with them and help with funding the flight. It's so much cheaper to fly one dog out of Mexico with a traveller at $150, compared to $400 to fly a dog unaccompanied!

With your permission I would like to pass your email address to SPCA de Puerto Vallarta. This is the rescue group Chelsea and I work with in PV. The reason for this is we can house the dogs we fly in from PV but all the dogs we fly in are small. Maybe in a year from now we will have some funding to help fly out some of the larger dogs. Also with your permission I would like to add your link to my website.

Hello Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue, Just wanted too say i visited your website and found the stories and videos you posted too be very moving/disheartening.

As a major animal lover and soon too be animal shelter volunteer i would like to say thankyou so much for everything your doing. its very upsetting to know animals can be treated with such cruelty and disrespect but knowing your fighting for whats right puts a smile on my face.

I would love to volunteer, also, make a trip down to mexico to help out. if you need an extra hand i would be more than willing to help.
