BREED: Shepherd mix, long-haired
GENDER: Female
AGE: 8 weeks old
SIZE/WEIGHT: Medium
HISTORY: Annabelle was rescued under an abandoned house along with her siblings. All were fearful of people but starving, so came out for food. She was the smallest and most scared of the litter. She’ll need more one on one time with an adopter so she becomes less scared.
TEMPERAMENT: Annabelle is shy, the smallest her litter. Lower ranking. Watches what is going on, observes. Annabelle is often found hiding where she feels more comfortable and safe. She is a gentle soul. Annabelle has kind, wise eyes and watches you and her environment.
PERSONALITY: Annabelle is reserved, quiet, sweet. She will be more outgoing once has opportunity to spend time with more people and experience more things. Quiet demeanour.
SOCIALIZATION SKILLS/NEEDS: Further socialization meeting more people. Met lots of dogs and puppies, needs experience in the outdoor world. Needs to go to banks, stores that allow pets, visiting people and places safe for puppies. Annabelle would often stay at the back of her pack litter mates, watching what was going on. She is keen to see activities but not yet join in. She plays it safe.
BEST MATCH: Loving person, quiet environment. Another dog would be nice. She is good around cats. An adopter to spend time cuddling, hand feeding, playing with her with stuffies, someone who will help with her confidence by more hand holding and feeding so she learns people and life is good. At least for her, she will continue to gain confidence in herself as she gets older and has a safe, warm, cuddly home with good energy. She will be good with children once has more experience with them.
FAVORITE THINGS: Playing and cuddling with her brother. She follows him where he goes, he’s more outgoing and gives Annabelle confidence. She is one of the fluffiest of the litter with beautiful fur staring to grow longer and fuller. She will be good for adopter who likes snowy activities once she is a big girl.
