Honcho

BREED: Husky/Shepherd mix
GENDER: Male
AGE: 3 years old
SIZE/WEIGHT: Medium, 50 lbs
HISTORY: From a hoarding in a home with dogs that have never been socialized or cared for. This photo was taken at another rescue organization that rescued him from a hoarder. We don’t have any others at this point I will post others soon as possible.
TEMPERAMENT: Shy and nervous of new people and we are in the process of rehabilitating him. Arriving on June 3. Please inquire about him if interested in working with us after we spent some time getting to know him and rehabilitating.
PERSONALITY: At this time he is very sad. He has been kept in a cage for the last while in prior to that a worse situation in a hoarding home. He will be arriving June 3 so he will have freedom to run and for us to get to know him better. Honcho is very shy yes he has had no humans that have really spent any time with him to show him kindness and that they care about his well-being other than being fed and cleaned up after after removal from the hoarder. After June 3 we will have more information that we decided to post so potential adopter’s interested can stay in touch with us. Poncho needs further socialization which we will be doing. Again any interested people get in touch with us after sending in adoption application and we can keep you posted on his progress. We will update this as his socialization and rehabilitation progresses.
BEST MATCH: An adopter that realizes after we have done rehabilitation and socialization he will need additional socialization going out into the world and experiencing new things. We looking for the doctor that has experience with dogs and a doctor that has a well balanced dog around age would be a best match as well as good fencing.
FAVORITE THINGS: At this point in his rehab his favourite things would be security and someone to show him kindness.
PLEASE NOTE: This photo was taken at another rescue organization that rescued him from a hoarder. We don’t have any others at this point. Any potential adopters can send in an adoption application and at that point we will let you know where honcho is at his rehabilitation with us.
