Adoption Application

OUR MATCHMAKER PROGRAM

We are so excited you’re ready to adopt a pet and look forward to helping you prepare for this awesome journey. Please familiarize yourself with our adoption process below to know all steps involved in adopting an animal with us. We know that every animal and every home is unique, that’s why we like to learn about your family before we match you to an animal. Thanks to our thorough approach, we have an excellent success rate in placing animals in their Furever Homes.

We want your adoption to succeed, not just for a day, but Furever!

Step 1

Learn about the animals available for adoption! You can find all the animals available for adoption here. On each pet’s profile, you will find information about where the animal came from, their temperament, best match, and more! Remember, while we try our very best to keep an animal’s current adoption status updated, we can’t guarantee the pet you’re interested in is still available.

Step 2

Fill out an online adoption application, which you can find on each animal’s profile, on the right side of the page. Please make sure to take the time to answer all questions in as much detail as possible. This will help us determine the best animal to match your lifestyle.

Step 3

Send the requested photos. Immediately after you complete your application, you should receive an email from our adoption team requesting several pictures of your home and your family. This step allows us to by-pass the home-checks, as we do adopt animals in many different areas. Your application will not be reviewed if you do not send the requested pictures.

Step 4

Be patient! We will review your application and reach out to you if we think you might be a fit for one of our animals. Our adoption coordinator will schedule a phone interview to determine the best match for you and the animal.

Step 5

If both parties think it’s a good match, we will book an adoption appointment. This is a customized session designed around the animal you may adopt. We will provide information to help ensure the smoothest transition possible for your new family member into your home.

Some animals will be ready to go to their new homes right away, others may need a few informational/bonding sessions first!

Before you apply to adopt, ask yourself these questions:

Are you prepared for a lifetime commitment?

Do you have other animals? How might they react?

Do you have, or are you planning on having, children? If so, are you ready to take the necessary steps to introduce them to the dog at his own pace?

What will happen to the animal if you move?

Who will look after them when you go on vacation?

If your current relationship changes or if something happens to you, who will look after them?

What are your plans for training?

What personality best fits your lifestyle?

How will you afford vet care?

Adoption is a lifetime commitment to that animal – make sure you are ready!
