HISTORY: Until the last year, for 4.5 years he was tied to a tree or in a concrete dungeon in extreme heat. Particularly miserable for a double coated Dog like Zander. A dog rescuer who lived near Zander saw he was always tied to a tree and how sad and dejected he was – tied in rain or heat, until she finally freed him and took him to the local dog shelter where she assumed he would find a home and be adopted straight away. Sadly, Zander’s situation did not improve at the shelter — instead of being tied to a tree, he ended up spending most of his days in a dark kennel more like a dungeon with only two hours free to play with other dogs.
TEMPERAMENT: He loves the people who love him.
PERSONALITY: He is outgoing, adventurous, curious of new things. Learning about people and life.
