BREED: Shepherd mix
GENDER: Male
AGE: 5 years (although, he acts like he is 1 or 2! He’s a young 5 year old!)
SIZE/WEIGHT: Large
HISTORY: Surrendered after a mauling, but all better now! He now has a unique looks, one ear straight up and the other one that had been damaged, is floppy. He’s so cute though!!
TEMPERAMENT: Super friendly! Outgoing. Loving. Oh so sweet. He’s a beautiful fluffy Collie type Shepherd mix. With mix of Retriever since love to fetch a ball and return! It’s a must if adopt 🙂 He’s determined, smart, active outside. Relaxes in the house. Bandit is truly sweet and would work in a home with children as long as active family to take him out for hikes, dog parks, adventures in car. He’d be good to with single gal or guy who has travel van lifestyle. Bandit is versatile and just wants to be loved, indoors with you and cared for.
PERSONALITY: Happy-go-lucky, loving, playful, endearing. Loves people! Best no cats. Surrenderer told us not good with pets and prey. We haven’t seen that even in house with our cats, but better safe than sorry. Could be just outdoor cats running. He’s a dog-human sort of dog rather than dog-dog. He gets along well with them but prefers human companionship and to be in the house with you. He’s been good around the small dog but would keep away from Pom types (They look like stuffies running with legs!). Bandit looks at you ever to softly with his big brown eyes. They are very expressive and speak to you. So….teach him things, mental stimulation and he will excel!
PETS NEEDS/BEHAVIOURAL INFO: He is rather good with basics but needs tune up! He is so smart, learns fast. Would make a terrific Search & Rescue dog. If gets good exercise, then teach him to chill on his living room dog bed and you have a buddy for life! Bandit has a beautiful fluffy tail, so will need brushing, and his ear that was ripped and in a bad way is now growing fur back.
BEST MATCH: Best with experienced dog owner and no push overs. Good leadership, setting rules and boundaries would work best for Bandit. He would be a wonderful travel companion. He is good in car and really enjoys car rides.
FAVORITE THINGS: Fetch with a tennis ball! You good with throwing? Well, Bandit brings it right back to you! Must be a ball-throwing pet owner! With his fluffy ear, he’d be good adventuring with you in snow.
