Some rookie Carpenters have been busy at Lord Beaverbrook High School building dog houses to support our efforts to provide some warmth and shelter to help both homeless and pet dogs on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation who are exposed to the elements.
Students learned the basic process to frame and insulate a wall and apply roofing material with material donated by Sterling Homes, Roof Mart and Dulux Paints.
Now the dog’s need a hand moving their new homes on site:
- Each shelter measures 30” wide, 42” tall and 64” long and need two strong people to lift them
- The dog shelters are assembled and ready to move from Lord Beaverbrook at 9019 Fairmont Dr SE
- If you have the ability to move them, please contact Michael at mgkoehler@cbe.ab.ca or 403 498 4662
