BREED: Chihuahua
GENDER: Female
AGE: 1 year old
SIZE/WEIGHT: Small
HISTORY: Rescued from the streets, homeless, scared, and being abused in Mexico City. She was scared, hiding, fearful of being hit. Found hungry, thirsty, just a young girl with puppies and no one to take care or feed any of them. A kind woman rescued Chiquita after hearing what was happening to her and was able to catch her and bring to her home with over 50 other rescued dogs.
TEMPERAMENT: Playful, loving, affectionate.
PERSONALITY: Funny, goofy, active. Chiquita is the sweetest little thing! Such an adorable little soul with lots of personality. Chiquita is very smart, inquisitive, outgoing. A fast learner and could use someone who would want to teach her new things. She gets along with big dogs, little dogs, cats, and everyone. She is not a barker. She is curious and has the sweetest big soul packed into a little body.
SOCIALIZATION SKILLS/NEEDS: Another little dog to play with. Her best buddy named Marco, another chihuahua, would be a great match if wanting two! Going to dog parks, lakes, places to run and play.
PETS NEEDS/BEHAVIOURAL INFO: Socialization in the outside world. She loves it and has the best little adventurous soul. Such a great companion! Chiquita is precious! She could be an agility dog if wanted to put her in the dog sport. Both of you would have fun!
BEST MATCH: Ideally, an adopter who would love and cherish Chiquitas playmate Marco. She’s a great travel buddy, did well in her travel carrier that went under the seat of the plane. She enjoyed walking through the airport and getting out of the house into society and seeing and doing new things. An adopter who hikes, she Loves running and hiking! She stays with you and has lots of endurance.
FAVORITE THINGS: Rough housing, playing and chasing Marco. Affection. Curling up with you at bedtime and curling under the covers. Hiking, going places. Car rides. Being at home on cozy cat bed.
